The City of Fresno has officially proclaimed May 14, 2023, as Hmong American Day. May of 2025 will mark 50 years since the Hmong migration from Laos and Thailand to the United States of America.

This is a collaborative effort between the Fresno Center, the Special Guerrilla Unit Veterans and Families of California, the Lao Veterans of America Institute, and Fresno State to showcase the history, cultures, traditions, and achievements of Hmong Americans throughout the past five decades.
