As we mark the 50th anniversary of the Hmong community’s migration to the United States, we honor the incredible journey of resilience, sacrifice, and achievement. Fresno is proud to be home to one of the largest Hmong populations in the nation—a vibrant community that has enriched our city with culture, service, and leadership. From the bravery of the Special Guerrilla Unit during the Vietnam War to the vital contributions of Hmong Americans across every sector of our city, we are forever grateful. This milestone is not only a celebration of history, but a tribute to the legacy and future of the Hmong community in Fresno and across the nation.”
