Celebrating Culture and Community at the 2nd Annual
AAPI Heritage Month Celebration
May 7, 2026
The Fresno Center was proud to attend the 2nd Annual AAPI Heritage Month Celebration hosted by the Office of Councilmember Brandon Vang at Fresno City Hall. The event brought together community leaders, organizations, families, and residents in a vibrant celebration honoring the rich cultures, histories, and lasting contributions of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities throughout Fresno and beyond.
The celebration highlighted the importance of representation, cultural pride, and unity within the community. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with local organizations, engage in meaningful conversations, that continue to shape and strengthen the region. The atmosphere reflected a shared commitment to uplifting AAPI communities while celebrating the traditions and stories that make Fresno such a culturally rich city.
Throughout the event, community members gathered to honor the achievements, resilience, and influence of AAPI individuals across generations. From cultural appreciation to community engagement, the celebration served as a powerful reminder of the importance of visibility and collective support. Events like these create spaces where communities can come together not only to celebrate heritage, but also to build stronger relationships and inspire future generations.
The Fresno Center is grateful for the opportunity to participate in this meaningful gathering and remains committed to supporting and celebrating the communities that call Fresno home. Through partnerships, cultural celebrations, and community-centered events, we continue working toward a future rooted in connection, understanding, and unity.
