Mayor Lee Brand Scholarship

The Fresno Center was awarded a $50,000 scholarship fund by former Mayor Lee Brand on February 24, 2021, to support high school seniors pursuing higher education. Each year for ten years, ten students will receive $1,000 scholarships, with The Fresno Center’s Employee Giving Program matching the contribution to provide a total of $10,000 in scholarships annually. Applications open in the fall, and winners are announced in the spring.

Dr. Tony Vang Scholarship

The Fresno Center is offering the 2025-2026 Dr. Tony Vang Scholarship, awarding five $1,000 scholarships to Fresno County high school seniors who have shown resilience and determination in overcoming life’s challenges. Eligible students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and plan to enroll full-time in college for Fall 2025. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation and a minimum 300-word essay by April 25, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
