Celebrating Resilience & Leadership at Fresno High!
December 15, 2025
Last Saturday, The Fresno Center had the honor of supporting one of our city’s oldest schools—Fresno High School—in recognizing their football players with scholarships, acknowledgments, and a whole lot of LOVE.
This event was about more than athletics—it was about HOPE and setting the expectation of greatness. Despite not winning a single game this season, these student-athletes never gave up. They showed persistence, character, and leadership on their campus.
Pao understands that the young leader’s success isn’t just about the scoreboard—it’s about heart, resilience, and being good human beings. He made sure to let them know!
In this photo Pao waves the helmet the coaches and players gave to him as a thank you. A few years ago The Fresno Center leadership established a scholarship initiative with support of former Mayor Lee Brand and Dr. Tony Vang. The expansion of this effort is reaching parts of the community never imagined. Scholarships are part of the work The Fresno Center implements towards education and advocacy. Part of the design is to help build future leaders.
Partners incude many: FUSD, Centro La Familia, Chez Maryse Bakery, Fresno City Council, Annalisa Perea, D-1, Stone Soup Fresno.
