On September 12th, The Fresno Center is thrilled to celebrate Women’s Equality Day!

This special day honors the adoption of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1920, which officially granted women the right to vote. It was a massive milestone for democracy, powered by courage, persistence, and the belief that every voice matters.

Why We Celebrate Today

For us at The Fresno Center, Women's Equality Day is about two big goals:

• Honoring Women’s Achievements: Recognizing the incredible contributions, leadership, and strength women bring to our Central Valley families, workplaces, and neighborhoods every single day.

• Pushing for Global Equality: Remembering that the journey isn't over. Voting was a huge step, but we continue working toward equal pay, opportunity, and respect for all women around the world.
