The festive season has officially begun as The Fresno Center kicked off this year’s Hmong New Year celebrations early with a ceremonial ribbon cutting event centered on gratitude, resilience, and unity.

Led by President and CEO Pao Yang, the gathering brought together community members, local leaders, and elected officials to commemorate the rich cultural heritage and historical journey of the Hmong people.

Remembering Our Roots and Honoring Legacy

More than just a seasonal kickoff, the ribbon cutting ceremony served as a solemn tribute to the generations who paved the way. Attendees took a moment to honor the legacy of ancestors, elders, and the late General Vang Pao, whose leadership and vision remain foundational to the Hmong American community.
