EECU Financial Empowerment Efforts Recognized by The Fresno Center
PRESS RELEASE DATE: Jul 29, 2025
Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) was honored by The Fresno Center for the credit union’s commitment to expanding financial services and education across the Central Valley on Monday.
The event featured a red carpet celebration where The Fresno Center presented EECU with a plaque and a traditional Hmong necklace in recognition of its ongoing support.
“At EECU, we believe financial empowerment is key to building stronger communities,” said Elizabeth J. Dooley, EECU president and CEO in a news release. “We’re honored to support The Fresno Center’s incredible work and to bring convenient access to financial services and education to the individuals and families they serve.”
Dooley also announced that all Fresno Center employees are now eligible for EECU membership and that the credit union will provide specialized financial literacy workshops for staff and clients.
Fresno Center President and CEO Pao Yang said financial literacy helps families shape their futures.
“Financial literacy is not just about dollars and centers — it’s about empowerment, education, wellness, and the ability to shape one’s future with confidence and clarity,” Yang said. “These efforts reflect our core values and our deep commitment to helping individuals and families thrive.”
Attendees also checked out EECU’s Mobile Branch, which often visits the center to provide convenient banking access and financial education to the residents.
