A Historic Celebration of Hmong American
Friendship, Pride, and Unity
January 6, 2026
This past Saturday marked a powerful and historic moment for community, pride, and unity as partners and community members came together for the Celebrating the American Spirit: Hmong American Friendship event. It was a day rooted in remembrance, resilience, and recognition of the Hmong community’s enduring legacy.
We were honored to stand alongside the City of Clovis, the Clovis Veterans Memorial District, Hmong SGU Veterans, and Clovis Unified School District in celebrating Hmong history and the vital contributions of Hmong Americans. This trailblazing gathering represented a meaningful step forward in welcoming, uplifting, and honoring the Hmong community in Clovis.
The event was filled with powerful stories, deep cultural pride, and moments that reflected generations of strength and perseverance. From shared histories to heartfelt reflections, the day served as a reminder that unity and respect are the foundation of a strong and thriving community.
The Fresno Center is proud to have been part of this historic celebration and remains committed to fostering partnerships that honor cultural heritage, build understanding, and create lasting impact for future generations.
