The Fresno Center is proudly extending its warmest congratulations to all the dedicated individuals honored during the City of Fresno Police Department’s Swearing-In and Promotional Ceremony held on July 16, 2026.
The ceremony was a powerful reminder of the commitment required to protect and serve, honoring everyone from fresh recruits taking their first oaths of public service to seasoned veterans stepping into vital leadership roles.
Spotlighting a Community Pillar: Sergeant Cha Thao
Among the day's major milestones, The Fresno Center sends a special salute to Sergeant Cha Thao on his well-deserved promotion to Police Sergeant.
Sergeant Thao’s advancement is a direct reflection of his unwavering dedication, proven leadership, and deep-seated commitment to serving the Fresno community with integrity and excellence. Every single person sworn in or promoted represents a continued promise to protect the safety and well-being of Fresno’s neighborhoods. It takes an immense amount of sacrifice, discipline, and heart to wear the badge, and the energy of the ceremony proved that the department's future is in capable hands.
