Weaving Culture into Care with
Our Third “Paj Ntaub” Canvas for ADHC
August 12, 2025
At The Fresno Center, we believe that healing goes beyond medical care—it includes honoring culture, heritage, and the stories that shape who we are. That’s why we’re excited to share that we’re working on our third “paj ntaub” canvas for the Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) program.
“Paj ntaub,” meaning “flower cloth” in Hmong, is a traditional form of intricate, hand-stitched embroidery that carries the history, identity, and artistry of the Hmong people. Each canvas tells a story, blending vibrant patterns with symbols that reflect resilience, community, and hope.
For our ADHC participants, these canvases aren’t just art—they’re a reminder of home, a source of pride, and a bridge between generations. This third piece will join the others as a permanent display, enriching the center with beauty and cultural significance while fostering a warm, welcoming environment for all who enter.
Through projects like this, we aim to integrate cultural heritage into healthcare spaces, creating places where community members feel truly seen, valued, and connected.
